Is it possible in any way to have someone get the rights to publish these books or are they going to be permanently out of print?

punkofnice: I have very little respect for them these days. Especially after seeing on at least 2 occasions where they have tampered with evidence, ie broken a sim card or 'lost' one, so they can get a conviction.
Here in the United States cops like to body slam you against the pavement. They paralyzed an elderly man by doing that. His provocation? He couldn't understand them and turned away.
Then there was the person at a peaceful protest in Fresno, California who was simply standing looking in the direction of a phalanx of police dressed in riot gear. He had a tear gas canister aimed at his head. When he fell others went to his assistance another tear gas canister was shot at them.
And there is the 12 year old, Tamir Rice, who was playing in the park with a toy gun. The police approached him driving their vehicle on the park's grass right up to where he was then shot him 2 seconds after they intercepted him.
Also there's John Crawford who was in a Walmart holding a toy rifle up with one hand - not pointing it at anyone - and speaking into his cell phone using his other hand. Killed without warning. His dying words were: "It's not real".
I can go on and on.

My introduction and confession
by elderINewton inwell another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.
i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.
i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

Thank you for sharing that Newton. I hope that you will eventually be able to make an exit without it adversely affecting your family. -

Why did Jesus have to die?
by Crazyguy inlet's think about this for a bit.
adam was tempted and sinned by eating of the fruit.
he missed out on immortality by being denied the tree of life.

Crazyguy:
"...why did Jesus have to die the way he did a brutal torturous death, why not in his sleep most likely the way Adam went?"
I'm not Christian but I figure that the reasoning is that Adam's sin opened up the way for severe human misery including brutal deaths therefore the brutality of Jesus' atonement.

Vertigo, WTH.
by James Mixon inwho here have suffer from vertigo?
if so how did you combat it?
how long.
-
Village Idiot
I once had a severe case of vertigo as a result of food poisoning. I could not lay down without its getting worse nor stand up without vomiting. I had to lay in bed in a slightly elevated position for my upper body in order to reduce the vomiting.
I called the ambulance and when I got to the hospital the doctor gave me an anti-nausea drug and it went away.

How do you know Satan didn't inspire the Bible?
by Coded Logic injws believe that satan knows things about the natural world (like how it was formed).. they also believe that satan can influence events (even fulfill prophecies).. the bible is the source of great confusion and the vast majority of christians (2.2 billion people) believe it but do not have "accurate knowledgetm".. from the jw point of view, wouldn't it be more likely that satan inspired the bible than an all loving god?.

"From the JW point of view, wouldn't it be more likely that Satan inspired the Bible than an all loving God?"
No, it doesn't make sense from the JW or any Christian Fundamentalist point of view but I thought of the idea even though I don't believe in God/Satan. I toyed with the idea of making up a religion that teaches that the Bible was inspired by Satan as a way of making people evil and turning others against God.
It would make for an interesting religion. The sermons would be religious but anti-biblical.
